The Department of Commerce in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is headed by the Secretary. This Department is responsible for the country’s external trade and all matters connected with it, such as commercial relations with other countries, state trading, export promotional measures and the development and regulation of certain export oriented industries and commodities.
