Rubber Board
 The Indian Rubber Board was constituted and came into force on the 19th April 1947. In 1954, the Act was amended and the Board was renamed as 'The Rubber Board'.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
 To promote the development of the rubber industry by:
 Undertaking, assisting or encouraging scientific, technological or economical research
 Training in improved methods of planting, cultivation, manuring and spraying
 Provide technical advice to rubber growers
 Improving the marketing or rubber
 Collection of statistics from growers, dealers and manufacturers
 Securing better working conditions and the provisions and improvement of amenities and incentives to workers
 Carrying out any other duties vested with the Board as per rules made under the Act

 To advice the Government of India on all matters related to the rubber industry, including the import and export of Rubber, Participation on international conference or seminars and submission of periodical reports on its activities and working of the Act.

The Central Office of the Board is located at Kottabam in Kerala State. Board's outstation establishments consist of 2 zonal offices, 6 supervisory offices, 2 unclear rubber estates and training centers, 40 regional offices, 170 field offices, 15 regional nurseries, 26 tappers training schools, 2 experiment stations, 1 regional research complex, 10 regional research stations and 8 regional soil and tissue testing laboratories.
