CBEC appoints common adjudicating authorities for Customs cases

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Customs (Export), Custom House, 60, Rajaji Salai, Chennai [OLDCommissioner of Customs (Import), Customs House, Chennai] to act as a common adjudicating authority to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on,-

(i) the Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise, Hyderabad-III;

(ii) the Commissioner of Customs, Inter Container Depot, Tughlakabad, New Delhi;

(iii) the Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise, Hyderabad-II;

(iv) Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Nhava Sheva, Port : Uran, Dist-Raigad

(v) Commissioner of Customs (Export Promotion), New Custom House, Ballard Estate, Mumbai

[OLD(iv) the Commissioner of Customs (Import), Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House, Nhava Sheva;

(v) the Commissioner of Customs (Import), New Custom House, Ballard Estate, New Delhi;]

(vi) the Commissioner of Customs, Custom House, Tuticorin; and

(vii) the Commissioner of Customs, Pune,

for the purpose of adjudicating the matters relating to show cause notice pertaining to M/s Aman Enterprise, T-21/A, Khirki Extension, Delhi and others, issued vide, F.No.DRI/SRU/INV-04/2006, dated the 31st December, 2007 by the Additional Director General, Directorate General of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad Zonal Unit, Ahmedabad.
