Amendments in the notification related to concessional rate of duty for specified goods imported by a passenger as baggage
G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 49/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R.301(E), dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table, against S.No. 1, in column (2), in item (II), after the figures “247,”, the figures “, 349,” shall be inserted.
