Amends NTF. NO. 03/2006-CE, DT. 01/03/2006 reg. Ad valorem rates - Brand Name

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finan ce (Department of Revenue), No. 3/2006-Central Excise, dated the 1st March, 2006, publishe d in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide nu mber G.S.R. 93(E), dated the 1st March, 2006, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table,-

(i) for S.No. 3 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and the entries shall be substituted, namely:-

(1)	(2)	(3)	(4)	(5)
“3.	11081200, 11081300, 11081400, or 110819	Maize Starch, Potato Starch, Tapioca Starch	4%	--”;

(ii) after S. No. 27 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and the entries shall be inserted, namely :-

(1)	(2)	(3)	(4)	(5)
‘27A.	2106 90 30	Betel nut product known as “supari”, other than goods specified against S.No. 27	Nil	--‘;

(iii) against S.No. 29A, for the entry in column (4), the entry “10%” shall be substituted;

(iv) against S.No. 33, for th e entry in column (4), the entry “10%” shall be substituted;

(iv) against S.No. 35, for th e entry in column (4), the entry “10%” shall be substituted;

(v) against S.No. 40, for the entry in column (4), the entry “10%” shall be substituted.
