EOU/EPZ/EHTP/STP units may be set up to carry out reconditioning, repair, remaking, testing, calibration, quality improvement, up-gradation of technology and re-engineering activities for export in freely convertible foreign currency. Such units may import goods of any origin for export in freely convertible foreign exchange for the above activities. The provisions of paragraphs 9.9, 9.10, 9.11, 9.12, 9.13 , 9.16 and 9.17 of this chapter shall not, however, apply to such activities.
