Eximkey - India Export Import Policy 2004 2013 Exim Policy
Notification No. 56/99-CE(NT), Dated 16th November, 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely:-

1.
    (1) These rules may be called the Central Excise (Eighteenth Amendment) Rules, 1999.

    (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Central Excise Rules, 1944, -
    (a) in rule 2, in clause (4),-

      (i) in item (xii), for the words ""Jaipur and Gajapati"", the words and figures ""Jaipur, Gajapati, and mauza Bamnipal of Thana Daitari No.29 of tehsil Ghatagaon of the district of Keonjhar"" shall be substituted;
      (ii) in item (xiii), for the word ""Keonjhar"" the words, brackets and figures ""Keonjhar (excluding mauza Bamnipal of Thana Daitari No.29 of tehsil of Ghatagaon)"" shall be substituted.

    (b) rules 83 to 92 (both inclusive) shall be omitted; and

    (c) in Appendix-I, under the heading ""FORMS"",-

      (i) under the sub-heading ""(I) List of Central Excise Forms"",-

        (A) series numbers 42 to 50 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted;

        (B) series numbers 74 to 78 and entries relating thereto shall be omitted.

      (ii) under the sub-heading ""(II) Specimen Forms"", Central Excise Series numbers 42 to 50 (both inclusive) and 74 to 78 (both inclusive) shall be omitted.
