Additional Duty on TVs under Fin. Act, 1985
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), read with sub-section (3) of section 49 of the Finance Act, 1985 (32 of 1985), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts all goods specified in the Fifth Schedule to the second mentioned Act from the whole of the additional duty of excise leviable thereon under sub-section (1) of section 49 of the said second Act.
