q Special Import Licence (SIL) shall be available only for supplies / exports effected till 31.03.2000. The validity of such SIL shall be upto 12 months or 31.03.2001, whichever is earlier. The application by the different categories of exporters, eligible for SIL under the EXIM Policy (RE-99) and Handbook (Vol.1) (RE-99) shall be made in the relevant form prescribed in the Handbook (Vol.1) (RE-99). However, in such cases. realisation of export proceeds against exports effected upto 31-3-2000, shall not be insisted upon.

One consolidated application for SIL covering the exports made / supplies effected till 31.3.2000 shall be made by the applicant. (Above para has been substituted vide Public Notice No. 6(RE-2000) / 1997-2002 dt. 7- 4-2000)
