GENERAL NOTE FOR FISH AND MARINE PRODUCTS

Against export of items given under Sl. Nos. D1 to D17, import of the respective basic raw material given against the export item under Sl. No. D17 to D44 is permissible in addition to other import items, shown against such export item under Sl. Nos. D1 to D17 with the following exceptions :-

1. When basic raw material i.e. Prawn/Shrimp, Fish etc. is imported against export items, import items (1) Prawn/Shrimp feed is not permissible.

2. In case of items at Sl. Nos. D18 to D35 and D40 to D43, if the product is in IQF form and net weight is also in frozen form the input quantity shall be less by 9%.

3. Import of basic raw material will be allowed with prior import and actual user condition without the facilities of transferability and replenishment. On such import whether imported alone or in combination with other items must give a positive value addition as per Para 7.4(iii) of EXIM Policy. In case, the basic raw material is not imported, it will be governed by the General Policy.
