Concessional import tariff-lines under Bangkok Agreement extended to China

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 26/95-Customs, dated the 16th March, 1995, namely:-

In the said notification, in the opening paragraph, in clause (a), for the words “Bangladesh, Republic of Korea or Sri Lanka”, the words “Bangladesh, People’s Republic of China, Republic of Korea or Sri Lanka” shall be substituted.

2. This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 2004.
