Amendments in the Ntf No. 49/96-Cus., dt. 23rd July, 1996 - so as to provide exemption to equipments and consumable samples imported by the Inspection Team of the Organisation of Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 49/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table, against S.No.1, in column (2), in item (I), for the words, figures and letters “and 51/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996”, the words, figures and letters “,51/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996 and 121/2003-Customs, dated the 1st August, 2003” shall be substituted.
