Category-I Examination
All the Custom House Agents are hereby requested to submit between 3.10.2001 to 12.10.2001 a list of their present employees who are holding Provisional or Permanent Custom Passes and who have passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination ( i. E. SSC or equivalent) and who intend to appear for Category-I Examination under Regulation-20 of CHALR- 1984.
The employees appearing for the Category-I examination shall have to appear for both written and oral test in two phases if the number of candidates are too many before the Panel. All the Custom House Agents are accordingly requested to ensure that their employees prepare themselves for the written and oral test under Category–1.
All the Custom House Agents are also informed that the employees who qualify in the Category-1 examination would only be allowed to hold power of attorney in behalf of their respective CHA’s provided their employer so desires.
The Roll Numbers, time and date of written examination will be displayed on the Notice Board of the CHA Section in Custom House on 31.10.2001. The CHA candidates are therefore, directed to obtain this information from the Notice Board as the CHA candidates will not be informed separately.
Application should be enclosed with the copies of Custom Pass and attested copy of SSC or equivalent passing certificate. (It is further, brought to the notice that the candidates who qualifies in the written test and called for Oral are required to produce their Original Mark Sheet, without which they will not be allowed to take the Oral Test). It may be noted that application received without the aforesaid requisite documents and after 12.10.2001 will not be entertained.
