PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 107/2001 Date: 19.09.2001

Working hours at Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai-reg.
Attention is invited of all the Officers, Staff Members, CHAs, Trade and all other concerned towards the working hours at Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai. Presently Export Cargo is received at Air Cargo Terminals from 10.00 A.M. to 10.00 P.M. and delivery of Import Cargo is allowed upto 8.00 P.M.

The matter has been examined further, and as a measure of trade facilitatio, it has been decided to introduce two shifts of working on week days and one shift (10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M.) on holidays at the Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai. The two shifts working between 8.00 A.M. to 10.00 P.M. will provide Customs clearance facilities for both imports and exports. During the revised hours, working relating to assessment, examination and clearance of export and imported goods will be handled. Other sections such as legal, adjudication, drawback, refund and administration, etc. shall work as per the existing practice.

Commissioner of Customs, Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai shall issue suitable Standing Order regarding deployment of staff etc. on the basis of pattern and flow of trade and volume of work required to be handled.

These changes in the working hours at Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai will be effective from 24.09.2001.
