Amendment to Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002
Attention of all Exports/CHAs and all concerned is invited to Govt. of India Ministry Commerce , Notification No. 7(RE-2000)/1997-2000, New Delhi, dated 31st March, 2000 providing for an amendment to Schedule 2 of "ITC(HS) classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002"

Para (iv) of the above notification delete entries at Sr. No. 9/9A and 11 in Appendix of Schedule 2, i.e. EXPORT POLICY, of the above book.

This has the effect of abolishing the requirement of certification on Shipping bills by:-

a. Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL) for exporting fabrics and made ups of all fabric other then man made fabrics NOT UNDER QUOTA RESTRICTION.

b. Synthetics and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council(SRTEPC) for exports of yarn, fabric and Made-ups of Man Made Fibre(MMF) NOT UNDER QUOTA RESTRICTION.

c. And, AEPC for exports of GARMENTS and KNITWEARS NOT UNDER QUOTA RESTRICTION.

Henceforth the requirement, of certification of shipping bills by the above

Export Promotion Councils (EPC) for the above categories of exports, i.e. non-quota exports, stands abolished.
