Authority for Advance Rulings
All importers, exporters, CHAs and all other concerned are hereby informed that in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with sub-section (5) of Section 23F of the Customs Act, 1962 the Central Government has constituted an Authority for Advance Rulings vide Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue Notification No. 16/2002-Ad.I-C dated 24th April, 2002. The Authority has become functional under the Chairmanship of Justice K. Venkataswami, (Retd. Judge of the Supreme Court).

Office of the Authority is located on the 4th Floor, Hotel Samrat, Kautilya Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi 110 021. The telephone numbers are : 6876402/6876406.
