SUB : ISSUANCE OF SHIPMENT CERTIFICATED IN LIEU OF E. P. COPIES OF S/BILLS-WHICH HAVE GONE IN HISTORY – REG.

It is reported that some 500 E.P. copies (Approx) of the S/Bills pertaining to initial period, when EDI system was introduced had gone into history with the result the E.P. copies of the Shipping Bills cannot be generated at present.

2/- To overcome this difficulty, it was decided that the exporter or their representatives/CHA, should be issued ‘SHIPMENT CERTIFICATES’ by Dy./Asstt. Commissioner (Docks-Export) in lieu of the E.P. copy of the S/Bill, under his signature and seal (indicating his name and designation in Block letter) by following the procedure in this regard, within reasonable rime, say within three days of receipt of such requests.

3/. The Association concerned are requested to make use of the facility.
