Warehousing-Grant of extension of warehousing period by the Chief Commissioner’s under section 61 of the Customs Act, 1962-reg.

Attention of the Trade is invited to Central Board of Excise and Customs, New Delhi, Circular No. 47/2002 dated 29.07.2002 (copy enclosed for ready reference) wherein the Board has issued revised guidelines for seeking extension of bond period under section 61 of Customs Act, 1962.

The trade is, therefore, advised to follow these guidelines while seeking extension warehousing period under section 61 of Customs Act, 1962.
