Sub : Discussion and interaction between Importer / CHA and Appraising Officers relating to the objectionable matters Of Bs/E inspection of samples, study of catalogue, literature etc.

In partial modification of the Public Notice No. 66/2001 dated 24.05.2001 issued by this Commissionerate, the following arrangements are provided for facilitating smooth functioning and speedy assessment of Bills of Entry.

(1) The Conference Room situated at the opposite side of the EDI Appraising Hall is notified as interaction room for meeting and discussions between the Importers / CHA & Appraising Officers.

(2) The Appraising Officers sitting in the Appraising Hall No. I may interact with the Importer / CHA during 11.30 A.M. to 12.15 P.M. and 3.30 P.M. to 4.15 P.M. in the interaction hall only.

(3) Appraising Officers sitting in Appraising Hall II may interact with the Importers / CHAs during 12.15 P.M. to 1.00 P.M. and 4.15 P.M. to 5.00 P.M. in the interaction hall only.

Trade may utilise the aforesaid timings for speedy appraisal of Bills of Entry.
