Amendment of Public Notice No. 85/99 dt. 29.07.99- reg……..

Attention of the Importers, CHA and the trade is invited to the Public Notice No. 85/99 dt. 29.07.99 S.No. 5.2, in respect of computerised processing of Bills of Entry under the Indian Custom EDI Systems – Importes (ICES/1) at the custom House Mumbai.

As per the directorate of Systems, New Delhi’s directions vide letter No. D-2109/-S cen/FIEO/97/CC/CBEC-II/3244 dt. 09.10.2002, following is the revised schedule of charges w.e.f.2nd Dec, 2002.

Schedule of Charges to be Levied at the Service Centres

A Non EDI Users.

i) Bill of Entry /Shipping Bill having upto five items – Rs.60/-

ii) Each Additional Block of five items - Rs. 10/-

The above charges include data entry of the documents, check list printing, three free queries and printout of the assessed documents. Additional queries shall be chargeable at Rs. 5/- per query. Check list will be provided free of charge till they are certified to be free of mistake by the customer. However, in cases where the customer wants to incorporate corrections in the original declaration provided by him, check list will be provided at an additional cost of Rs. 10/-

B EDI Users

i) Printing of document Rs.20/-

ii) Query Rs. 5/-

C Amendment to Bills of Entry/ Shipping Bills

i) Bill of Entry (for block of five items ) Rs.20/-

ii) Shipping Bill (for Block of Five items) Rs. 10/-

Every additional block of five items shall carry an amendment fee of Rs. 20/- or Rs. 10/- as given above.

D. Processing of Manifest (IGM/EGM) Rs. 60/-

It may also be noted that these are the maximum charges Rs.60/- which may be levied by CMC at the Service Center. Within the prescribed limits, CMC is free to set its service charges. CMC shall pay CBEC A Rs. 26/- per document entered in the system including of manifest.
