SUBJECT:Risk Management Scheme – Extension of Time Period for Registration under Accredited Client Programme (ACP) – Regarding

Kind attention of all members of Trade, Importers and Custom House Agents is invited to Board”s Circular No. 42/2005- CUS and this office Public Notice No. 05/2006 dated 07.02.2006 vide File No. S/1-4/2006 EDI. The time period for registration under Accredited Client Programme (ACP) scheme has now been extended upto 31.03.2007. It has been decided that no further extension will be granted. Thus, the importers who are not registered under ACP Scheme may lose the facilities of the Scheme after 31.03.2007. It is therefore requested that all Importers interested to be registered under ACP scheme and importing through Mumbai Port may apply for registration under ACP scheme to the Assistant Commissioner of Customs, EDI, 1st floor Annex. Building, New Custom House, Mumbai 400 001 on or before 28.02.2007( since one month’s time is required for processing the application) to avoid losing existing facility available to them under ACP scheme.
