It has been felt that number of disputes/problems are arising during day to day
functioning of Container Freight Station, Mulund and in order to amicably solve
these problems/disputes an "Interactive Forum" is required to discuss and take
necessary action to solve these problems. Further to clear the doubts of the trade
on any issue the existence of such, a forum is essential. Accordingly, it has been
decided that a Watch Dog Panel will be set up under the Chairmanship of
Commissioner of Customs, CFS Mulund to look into the problems/disputes arising in
the functioning of CFS Mulund. Initially, this panel will meet once in a month and the
meeting will be held at 16.00 hrs of every 3rd Wednesday of each month. In case
Wednesday happens to be a holiday, meeting will be held on next working
day.
The Panel will provide a forum to importers/exporters/CHAs and their
representatives to sort out the problems/disputes being faced by them during the
working at CFS Mulund The composition of the Watch Dog Panel shall be as
under:-
1. Chairman -Commissioner of Customs, CFS Mulund.
2. Members -(Representatives of the following organization will be members of this
Panel)
- All India Importer"s and Exporter"s Association, Fort, Mumbai-23
- Federation of Indian Export Organizations, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai-5
- Indian Merchants chamber, IMC Bldg., Opp. Churchgate Station
Mumbai-23.
- Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Machinnon Mackinee Bldg.,
Mumbai-38.
- Bombay Custom House Agents" Association, Nariman Point, Mumbai.
- All India Manufacturers Organisation.
All the CHAs/Importers/Exporters and their representatives are requested to bring
the problems/difficulties being faced by them to the notice of the above Members,
so that the same can be discussed and resolved during the meetings.
