PUBLIC NOTICE NO.-22/2006 Date : 13.04.2006

Sub:- Implementation of Risk Management System (RMS) in Imports – reg.
1. Attention of all Importers, Custom House Agents (CHA) and members of the Trade in general is invited to Public Notice No. 15/2006 dated 17.03.06 on the above subject where in it was notified that the Risk Management System (RMS) will be made operational at this Custom House in a phased manner.

2. Bills of Entry filed in Assessment of Group IIA, IIB & VI were being processed under the newly introduced scheme w.e.f. 23.03.2006.

3. Bills of Entry filed in the remaining Assessment Groups of Import Commissionerate viz. Assessment Groups I, IA, III,IV,VA & VB shall also be processed under the new Risk Management System (RMS) w.e.f. 17th April 2006.

4. The detailed procedure for clearance of the Bills of Entry under the ICES after implementation of the Risk Management System (RMS) as already explained in the Public Notice No. 15/2006 dated 17.03.06 shall remain the same.

5. With this the Risk Management System (RMS) has been implemented in respect of all the Assessment Groups of the Import Commissionerate of the New Custom House, Mumbai.
