Attention of all the members of trade, CHA & others concerned is invited to the fact that recently the responses from ICEGATE to submissions ( Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills ) made by the trade has slowed considerably. This has happened on account of extremely heavy mail spamming that has been noticed at ICEGATE and which has affected the time taken in sending information to the user’s mail box.
2. The ICEGATE team is working on the rectification of the problem. In the meantime a ticker has been put on the home page of the web-site www.icegate.gov in informing the users of the problem with a request that for the time being they should use the ‘Document tracking facility’ for ascertaining the status of documents filed by them at ICEGATE rather than wait for receipt of mails from ICEGATE.
3. Mean-while the Trade is allowed to use the service center facility, if they so desire. The Service Centre has been directed to accept documents for filing even after the normal stipulated hours.
All concerned are requested to take note of the above.
