Kind attention is invited to all the concerned that a Central Receipt Section is working in Gr.VII EP Commissionerate which deals with all the correspondence received and dispatched by Gr.VII EP Commissionerate.

The Central Receipt Section assigns an inward entry number to each letter received and an outward number to each letter dispatched. It is observed that letters from CHAs/Importers / Exporters are also being received independently by other persons working in Gr.VII, EP Commissionerate. It is accordingly reiterated that henceforth, all the correspondence should be received/dispatched through Central Receipt Section of Gr.VII only. The following procedure may be adopted.

The clerks deputed for the purpose shall affix “Receiving Stamp” with date for acknowledgement purpose and assign an Inward Number to each such letter received. After allotting Inward number, the letter will be sent to Concerned Deputy/Asstt.Commissioner by Receiving and/or Dispatch Clerk preferably on the same day of the receipt of the letter where such letter is addressed to proper authority/section. The Concerned Deputy/Asstt.Commissioner will mark the letter to Concerned Appraising Officer/Clerk and / or other dealing hand with the suitable remarks for proper action. The above procedure may be adhered to strictly. Any other non-receipted correspondences will not be acceptable at any stage later.
