Attention of all members of Trade and Industry, Importers and Exporters, Custom House Agents and Shipping Agents is invited to Public Notice No.17/2006 dated 22.03.2006 wherein it was stated that on 31st March, 2006 payment in the Bank of India will be accepted till 4.00 P.M.

In continuation to this, it is to inform that the Reserve Bank of India has issued instructions to all the concerned banks to suitably extend the banking hours of their branches authorized to conduct Government business by keeping the counters open on 31st March,2006 to meet the rush of the assesses for payment of taxes. Special clearing (with return clearing ) will be conducted in the evening/night of March 31,2006 so that the cheques deposited are realized and credited to Govt. account on the same day i.e. on March,31,2006.

All concerned are requested to take note of the above.
