Amendments in ITC Code 0703 - Onions Export Canalised

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulations) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as amended, the Central Government, hereby makes the following amendment in the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002.

In partial modification of the Notification No. 19(Re-9)/1997-2002, dated 8th July, 1999 the entry at ITC code No.0703 in "ITC,(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items (1997-2002, incorporating amendments made upto 31st August 1998) at Schedule 2 Table B", shall be further amended as under:

Export of Bangalore rose onion through M/s Karnataka State Agriculture Produce Processing and Export Corporation Ltd (KAPPEC) for a total quantity of 3617 MT for 3 months from 7.9.99 (upto 7.12.99).

(a) Export of Banglore rose onions through M/s Karnataka State Agricultural Produce Processing and Export Corporation Ltd(KAPPEC Ltd) for 5000 (five thousands only) MTs per month for two months (upto 7th, September 1999).] (b) Export through NAFED till 30th Sept. 1999 of 5000 MT of onions (other than Poddusu and Bangalore Rose varieties) to Sri Lanka and Mauritius.
