    EPCG
    -Hotels etc. equipment at zero duty

    EOUs/EPZ Units
    -All DTA Sale above 5% of Export to be covered for DTA Sale Entitlement
    -Electronic hardware sale in DTA upto 50%-Slab system abolished-Positive NFEP required

    Private Bonded WareHouses
    -Export from job workers premises not permitted
    -Goods procured from DTA can not be supplied against duty free licences

In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy,1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.99), the Central Government hereby makesfollowing amendments in the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002: (incorporating amendment madeupto 31.3.99).

1. The following may be added after the word "organic chemicals" appearing in Table (a) given under paragraph 6.2:

    "Hotels, Travel agents, tour operators or tourist transport operators who are recognised as Export House, Trading House, Star Trading Houses and Super Star Trading Houses or Service Export House, International Service Export House, International Star Service Export House, International Super Star Service Export House".

2. Reference to paragraph 9.9(b) and (d) appearing in paragraph 9.9(a) shall be amended to read as "paragraph 9.9".

3. The word "electronic hardware" may be inserted after the word "toys" in paragraph 9.9(b).

4. Paragraph 9.9(d) and (f) stands deleted.

5. In sub paragraph (c) of paragraph 9.21, the following may be inserted after first sentence.

    "Export of such products form the job worker's premises will not be allowed through third parties as provided under 9.11 of the Policy"

6. The word and expression "or supplied against duty free licence" appearing in sub paragraph (a)(iii) of paragraph 9.21 stands deleted.

7. The word and expression "no minimum stipulation for electronics hardware" as appearing in Appendix-1 of Exim Policy against I(ii) under column (minimum NFEP) may be replaced by "positive NFEP".

This issues in public interest.
