Appointments of Commissioners

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 4, 156 and 157 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf the Central Government hereby directs that references to the authorities specified in column 2 of the Table below in the rules, regulation, notifications, decisions orders or notices made or issued under the said Act, unless the context otherwise requires, be construed as references to the authorities specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.
