CUSTOMS NOTIFICATION No.66/1999(N.T.) Dated 25th November, 1999

Courier Imp & Exp(Clearance)
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 157 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998, namely:-

1. (1) These regulations may be called the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Third Amendment Regulations, 1999.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998, in regulation 14, in sub-regulation (1), for clause (c), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-

"(c) misconduct on the part of Authorised Courier whether within the jurisdiction of the said Commissioner or anywhere else, which in the opinion of the Commissioner renders him unfit to transact any business in the Customs Station.".
