PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 72/2006, DT. 28/11/2006

Prohibition - Not be applicable to export of pulses to Sri Lanka (Permission granted by DGFT)

S.O.(E)-In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby prescribes the following procedures to be followed for export of Pulses to Sri Lanka as notified by Notification No.37(RE-06)/2004-2009 dated 27.11.2006 :-

(i) Quantity allowed for export is restricted to 2000 MT of Masoor Dal and 200 MT of Green Gram; and

(ii) The export shall be permitted only from Chennai Port [OLD- Pondicherry Port ] in India to Point Pedro Port in Sri Lanka.

(In above (ii) the words "Chennai Port" has been substituted vide PN.NO.75/2006, DT. 14/12/2006)

“The prohibition shall not be applicable to export of pulses to Sri Lanka executed under the specific permission granted by DGFT.”
