Amendment in Export Policy of Animal By-Products.

 

S.O. 1227E). In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Notification No. 34/2015-20 dated 13.01.2017 with immediate effect, relating to export of Animal By-Products. 2. The existing entries against SI. No. 41 and 171 of Chapter 5 and Chapter 35 respectively of Schedule - 2, ITC (HS) Export Policy, 2018 shall be substituted as follows:

Export allowed freely but export to European Union allowed subject to the following conditions :

(I) A ‘Shipment Clearance Certificate is to be issued consignment-wise by the CAPEXIL indicating details of the name and address of the exporter, address of the registered plant, IEC No. of the exporter, Plant approval number, nature of export product, quantity, invoice number and date, port of loading (name of the port) and destination.

(ii) “After the shipment is made, the exporter shall also provide a “Health Certificate” consignment wise to the buyer having details of the product with HS code, packaging, its origin, destination, vessel name, date of departure, health requirement. This certificate is issued by Export Inspection Council”.

3.Effect of this Notification:

The Notification No. 34/2015-20 dated 13.01.2017 is amended to the extent that now the “Health Certificate” for items specified under Serial No. 41 and 171 of Schedule 2 of ITCHS Export Policy for export of Animal By-Products will be issued by Export Inspection Council. All other terms and condition of Notification No. 34/2015-20 dated 13.01.2017 will remain the same.
