Public Notice No.19/1997-2002 dated the 23rd June, 1997 Samples of Negative List Items -Export Policy
In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled "ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002".
2. The entry appearing at SI. No.21 of Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled "'ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997 -2002" shall be amended to read as under :-
"21. Samples:- Samples of goods includ- Samples of goods including those in Parts II ing those in Parts II & III of the Nega- & III of the Negative List of Exports and this tive List of Exports and this Appendix. Appendix, except items at S. No. 1, 2, 17 & 19 of this Appendix and items at S.No.2, 5, 24(i) & (ii), 28, 30 & 31 of Part II of the Negative List of Exports, may be exported without a licence if the value of the samples, so exported, taken together does not exceed US$ 2000 (two thousand) in any licensing year and with a licence if the above exceeds US $ 2000 (two thousand) in any licensing year. DGFT shall be the licensing authority in this behalf."
