Customs Notifications relating to EPCG and Duty Exemption scheme


The Department of Revenue has issued necessary Customs Notifications relating to EPCG and Duty Exemption Scheme. The subject matters of the Notifications are as follows:

    a. Notification No. 28/97-Cus: 10% EPCG scheme

    b. Notification No. 29/97-Cus: Zero duty EPCG scheme

    c. Notification No. 30/97-Cus: Advance licence with AU condition In terms of Para 7.4 of the Policy

    d. Notification No. 31/97-Cus: Advance Licence in terms of Para 7.3 and all in terms of Para 7.5 of the Policy

    e. Notification No. 32/97-Cus: Jobbing in terms of Para 7.12 of the Policies

    f. Notification No. 34/97-Cus: Duty Entitlement Pass Book Scheme

    g. Notification No. 36/97-Cus: Special Imp rest licence in terms of Para 7.6 of the Policy.


2. All the licensing authorities are advised to comply with the notifications while issuing the licence and subsequent follow up including redemption/discharge of export obligation. The licensing authorities are also advised to modify the DEEC as given in Notification No.30 and 31/97-Cus while 'issuing the licences in terms of Paragraphs 7.4 and 7.3/7 .5 of EXIM Policy 1997 -2002 respectively.

3. This issues with the approval of DGFT.
