Advance Licences-Duty Free Import of Tea for Export of Blended Tea


Permitting Duty Free Import of Tea against Advance Licence for export of Blended Tea - SALC Circular No. 10/98-99 dated 1.3.1999 and SALC Circular No. 2/99-2000 dated 5.7.99.

Attention is invited to SALC Circular No. 10/98-99 dated 1.3.99 and SALC Circular No.2/99-2000 dated 5.7.99 on the above subject.

Representations have been received from the Trade/Exporters that the validity of SALC Circular No. 10/98-99 dated 1.3.99 as amended by SALC Circular No. 2/99-2000 dated 5.7.99 may be extended.

The matter regarding validity of above referred circular which expired on 30.09.99,was accordingly considered by SALC in its Meeting No. 29/2000 held on 21.10.99 and it was decided to extend the validity of above referred SALC circulars up to 31.3.2000. In view of above the validity of SALC Circular No. 10/98-99 dated 1.3.99 as amended by SALC circular No. 2/99-2000 dated 5.7.99 is now extended up to 31.3.2000. All other conditions stipulated in the SALC circular No. 10/98-99 dated 1.3.99 and SALC Circular No. 2/99-2000 dated 5.7.99 shall remain unchanged.

All the Licensing Authorities are advised to strictly adhere to the conditions laid down in the above SALC circular Nos. 10/98-99 dated 1.3.99 as amended by SALC circular No. 2/99-2000 dated 5.7.99.
