All concerned are hereby informed that Advance Licences continued to be issued by this office with endorsement of Customs Notification No.50/51/2000 till the introduction of Customs Notification No.43/2002 dtd.19/4/2002 which dispensed with the requirement of DEEC Books although the issue of DEEC Books was actually discontinued from 1/4/2002 onwards as per the Exim Policy (2002-2007).

It is hereby brought to the Notice of all concerned that Advance Licences issued on or after 1.4.2002 with Custom Notification No.50/51/2000 are being amended on the request of the licence holder for endorsement with Customs Notification No.43/2002 dtd.19.4.2002 wherever the licence holders are facing any difficulties with customs on this account.
