TRADE NOTICE NO. 15, DATED 8th MARCH 2000.
IEC Updation
Kind attention of the trade is invited to public notice no.49(RE-99)97-2002 dated 27th January,2000 in which the IEC holders were required to update their IEC numbers on DGFT Website and the last date for modifying /updating the Date was up to 29/02/2000.

In case the IEC holders could not update the data on DGFT Website up to 29/02/2000, they can submit duly signed typewritten copy along with Appendix-IA and IIA of Hand Book of Procedure up to 15/03/2000.

In case the IEC holders have updated the Data on DGFT website and could not submit the hard/typewritten copy by 29/02/2000 they can submit the same up to 15/03/2000.

After 1st April, 2000, the licence applications of all categories filed by non-validated IEC holders will not be accepted at the counter, unless and until they got the IEC updated.

After 1st April, 2000, customs will not allow clearance of import/export consignment, if the IEC of the Importer/Exporter is not updated.
