TRADE NOTICE NO. 2 DATED 3-4-1999.


In the Export Import Policy 1997-2002 as amended upto 31st March 1999, Annual Advance Licensing Scheme has been introduced which will become operational from 1.7.1999. Till such time, the eligible exporters will be issued regular advance licences on the basis export orders.

2. Public Notice No.5 dated 6.4.1999 has been issued by the DGFT to enable the exporters to fulfil their obligations both under the Advance Licensing Scheme as well as EPCG Scheme. The applications for seeking extension of Export Obligation period in respect of advance licences and EPCG licences are to be made within a period of 60 days from the date of issuance of public notice No. 5 dated 6.4.1999, i.e. upto 5th June 1999. All such licence holders seeking extension of export obligation period should prefer their applications for the same before this date in terms of public notice No.5 dated 6.4.1999.
