Guidelines for issue of Bank Certificates for obtaining DEPB/DFRC

Banks issuing Bank Certificates of Exports and Realization as per Appendix 25 of Handbook of Procedures to exporters for claiming DEPB/DFRC are requested that while issuing such certificates they should ensure the following:

1. Only one original Bank Certificate should be issued against each Shipping Bill to avoid misuse.

2. While issuing a duplicate Bank Certificate to an exporter an endorsement should be made stating “DUPLICATE ISSUED IN LIEU OF ORIGINAL LOST/MISPLACED BY THE EXPORTER”.

3. All columns of the Bank Certificate have to be filled in properly.

4. Full name and designation of bank official who signs the Bank Certificate should be indicated.

5. All hand written columns and corrections in the Bank Certificate should be duly attested with signature, name & designation of the attesting officer and the seal of the Bank.

Exporters are requested to ensure the above while obtaining Bank Certificates from the banks to avoid deficiencies in their applications.
