Air Cargo Complexes-Simplified Procedure for Clearance



Sub: Simplified Procedure for clearance and examination of Export & Import Cargo at Air Cargo Complexes.


I am directed to refer to Board's Circular Nos. 89/98-Cus., dated 3.12.98 and 36/99-Cus., dated20.6.99 on the above mentioned subject. Since the issue of these circulars, a number of references,has been received from the trade regarding extension of time limit for receipt of export cargo at thecargo terminals. The matter was discussed in the Export Promotion Board Meeting held on 24.9.99 wherein it was decided to extend the time limit for receipt for export cargo at the air cargo terminals upto 10 p.m. in place of existing time-limit of 9 p.m.

2. In view of the Export Promotion Board decision in the matter, the paragraph 2(c) of above referred circulars shall be substituted by the following paragraph: -

"2(c): Henceforth export cargo will be received in all the cargo terminals from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the delivery of import cargo will be allowed upto 8 p.m."

3. These changes may kindly be brought to the notice of all the officers by the way of issuing suitable standing order. The difficulty, if any, may kindly be brought to the notice of the Board. Kindly acknowledge receipt.
