- "EEFC Account" Omitted from Regulation 4(1)(iv)

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (3) of Section 6, and sub-section (2) of Section 47 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999), and in partial modification of its Ntf. No. FEMA 3/2000-RB dated 3rd May, 2000, the Reserve Bank of India makes the following Regulations to amend the Foreign Exchange Management (Borrowing or Lending in Foreign Exchange) Regulations, 2000, namely:-

Short title and commencement

1. These Regulations may be called the Foreign Exchange Management (Borrowing or Lending in Foreign Exchange) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000.
   
   
2. They shall come into force with immediate effect.

Amendment of the Regulations

In the Foreign Exchange Management (Borrowing of Lending in Foreign Exchange) Regulations 2000, in Regulation 4, in sub-regulation (1), in clause (iv), the words "EEFC Account or", shall be omitted.
