Continuation of anti-dumping duty on White Cement falling under tariff item 25232100

G.S.R. (E).- Whereas the designated authority vide notification No.15/6/2005-DGAD, published in Part I, Section I of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated the 28th February, 2006, has initiated sunset review in the matter of continuation of anti-dumping duty on White Cement falling under tariff item 25232100 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), originating in, or exported from, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Iran, imposed vide notification No. 99/2001–Customs, dated the 3rd October, 2001, [G.S.R.753(E), dated the 3rd October, 2001] and has recommended for extension of anti-dumping duty, for a further period of one year pending the outcome of the review investigations;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1), read with sub-section (5) of section 9A of the said Customs Tariff Act and rule 23 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 99/2001–Customs, dated the 2nd November 2001, namely:-

In the said notification, after paragraph 2, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely: -

"3. The anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be effective up to and inclusive of the 13th day of June, 2007."
