Sub :  Issuance of Supplementary DEPBs as a result of SAD implication from retrospective effect

Dear Sir,

You are aware that the Ministry of Finance has recommended to DGFT for issuance of supplementary DEPBs against the SAD impact with retrospective effect i.e. 18th April 2002.

The revised DEPB rates for most of the products shall be announced shortly.  Meanwhile DGFT have issued a Public Notice No.60 dated21.1.2003 vide which they have amended the provisions at para 4.37 of Handbook of Procedures and also Appendix 10A providing data sheet for DEPB rates.  A copy of the Public Notice can be obtained from www.eximkey.com.

We request you to please keep following documents ready :

  1. Copies of all DEPBs issued from 18.4.2002 onwards with amendment sheets, conditions sheets and verification sheets.
     

  2. If any of these DEPBs are available in original or it is possible to collect them, please arrange for the original copy.
     

  3. Copies of applications submitted to DGFT for issuance of DEPB.
     

  4. 1 set of copies of export documents (DEPB file-wise) i.e. E.P. copies of shipping bills, BRCs, DEEC copies, Customs attested export invoices, customs attested packing lists, AR4s, Bills of Lading, Mate Receipts.
     

  5. Following statements (file wise) :

Shipping Bill No. and date

FOB value of export realised with customs exchange rate for export

Serial number of DEPBs

Rate on which DEPB has been issued

DEPB value

 

Revised rate with retrospective effect

 

Revised DEPB value

 

Supplementary value of DEPB
